Dr. M Jaya Prasad

Dr. M. Jaya Prasad started his teaching career in the year 1992 as lecturer in the department of computer Science and Engineering, Golden valley institute of Technology, Kolar Gold fields, Karnataka, India. Teaching was his passion right from the day one of his teaching career. Dr. JP was handling the subjects like data structures, Operating systems Software engineering etc. Particularly software engineering is one of my favorite subjects, this subject has been handled quite a number of times. The syllabus consist of software development life cycle where the students have to study requirement analysis, designing, developing, testing the code and documenting of the software by applying technologies and practices from computer science project management, engineering application domains, interface domains and digital asset management and other

The students were given a projects to study in-depth about the software engineering and the application of a systematic, disciplined, quantifiable approach to the development, operation, and maintenance of software. Apart from the regular academic activities, the students were taken to the leading companies to know about the latest trends in the software development. As a part of their curriculum, the students (final semester students) were permitted to carry out their live projects in the companies, so as to get industry exposure.

The students (UG and PG) were encouraged to participate in the various technical programme ( related to the software engineering) conducted by the various technical organization (both national and international level). Conducted National level workshop on “Software development life Cycle” to give in-depth knowledge about various phases of software development. Conducted technical presentation about the software life cycle in the neighboring colleges, As a visiting professor conducted course on software engineering . As Principal of the college, played major role in bringing the Research Centre for the Dept of Computer Science and Engineering. Much emphasis was given for the pure and applied research in the field of Software Engineering
